Fast food nation- ch. 4
I think that low prices play one of the most significant roles in how appealing it is to this group. But that is not the only thing; I think that the easy accessibility and quickness of these places help us keep pace with our fast moving lives. Students in college lead very busy and fast pace lifestyles that make fast food ideal and the most convenient things available, along with the fact that the low prices make it easier, because college students are often struggling for money as is. Also, I feel that it is becoming less and less common to find a family that sits down every night to eat, because those lower and middle class families often have parents working two or three jobs, leaving little time as well as tired parents, and it is very easy for them to just pick something up on their way home to their children and as children continue becoming accustomed to it, in the future they will find fast food normal and consistent in their lives. So, I do think the price plays a huge rold, but it also works alongside the convience of these "restaurants."

I agree and on top of that don't you think the failing eonomy plays a role in it, considering that parents now have to get more jobs to make ends meet.
