Huckleberry Finn ch 32-36

Chapters 32-36 begin to show Huck's true colors. Huck is not the character that his lifestyle sometimes makes him come across as, and he is not the lying and manipulative boy that he has shown before. Huck truly is simply is doing his best at surviving given his surroundings, he does not want to do the most complicated and extravagant plan that Tom Sawyer thinks of, he prefers to keep it simple, low key, and as safe as it possibly can be to rescue Jim from slavery. These chapters also show where Huck's loyalties lie, with Jim. Huck goes to great risks for Jim, and even shows his vulnerability by crying when he discovera that the king sold him away for forty dirty dollars. The time spent on the river between Huck and Jim allowed them to form a close bond, and I do not believe that Huck is ready, by any means, to continue on his journey without his partner Jim.
