As Huck and Jim continue their travels with the 'Duke' and 'King' we can see that Huck knows that the two men are really con men, but Jim fails to realize this. Huck does not think that he needs to tell Jim this information, but he starts to treat him as an equal. After the first show the town's people realized they had been ripped off, and instead of taking it out on the Duke and King they descide to make sure the other town folk are ripped off too. Even though their schemes get more and more outragous things continue to work out for them.
