Fast Food Nation Chapter 9
If I was a manager to people who experienced an outbreak of sickness after eating meat that had come from my restaurant, I’d certainly want to make sure the customers were apologized to and compensated in some way. Even though the outbreak could occur in the meatpacking warehouse, I’d be careful to examine my employees and their work history to determine if they were somehow involved in the outbreak. I don’t think that I’d change what companies I purchased meat from if it was a one-time thing. If sickness outbreaks started happening on a regular basis, a change in companies might be necessary to keep my restaurant in business.

I think your response is the most logic. And I also think that examining the employees is a good thought to fully find out where the outbreak source was.
