Fast Food Nation Ch 4

Low prices are a huge appeal of fast food restaurants because it allows people with little money to get a good amount of prepared food. Although low prices are a big factor in drawing people in, speed of service, i think, is the main appeal. Rather than going out to a regular restaurant where one would have to sit down and wait for a meal, people with tight schedules (such as blue collar workers, college students) are able to get their food ready to go. Its the overall convenience of fast food that appeals to people.

  1. I definately agree but I think fond memories and the whole aspect of not having to put on nice clothes to go to a classier restraunt could also be added to appeals of the fat food industry.
