Fast Food Nation ch. 2

Children are targeted because they are easily persuaded that certain things are better than others. Once they have that idea firmly in their head they can begin to pester their parents until they are bought certain products. I think it is wrong for companies to target such a young audience. These children don't understand what is being told to them is just a promotion for a company. They don't know that eating to much fast food, or drinking to much soda is bad for you. By infuencing children at such a young age these ads will create consumers who will buy one brand their entire life, which is good for the company but not always good for the consumer.
