Fast Food Nation ch. 10

I beleive that people have come to equate America with certain things movies and fast food prominent among them. They see McDonalds as the height of modernization and respectability. It gains this position because of the amount of advertising McDonalds does in foriegn countruies. People in other countries need to remember that modernization is about more than having someone make you a burger and fries for a couple bucks.
