Chapter 8

I think the most disturbing part was realizing that the workers could die at any moment while doing some of those jobs. Their life could just be ended quickly and no one would give it a second thought; the work will continue. They would be replaced quickly, leaving their family, if try have any, to mourn for them. The only way to stop it would be to slow down the line and develop safer conditions, but that would cost the companies some of their profits.

  1. I agree, I thought it was very disturbing how the companies viewed their workers more like machines than actual human beings.
