Fast Food Nation ch. 8
The most disturbing part to me was how the companies gave incentives to their plant managers to not report injuries, basically use workers until they cant work any more, and do it over and over again. This is a serious problem which requires the complete overhaul of the entire system. If a company is not willing to make reforms to keep their workers safe they should be shut down until those reforms are made. Companies should not be allowed to just fire their workers for no reason, and workers who gain seniority should recieve more benefits when they are gotten rid of. While this is what should happen it probably never will because the companies can lobby congress to get what they want. So until the workers do something about the problems nothing will get done.

The companies have definitely figured out how to get the most out of the workers, and I agree with your solution to this issue.
