Chapter 4 Fast Food Nation
I think that with the economy in the state it is, many people are being forced to cut back on food sources that they deem unnecessary. But low prices anywhere promote “getting more for your buck”, an idea that is popularized by fast food restaurants and pizza joints. This makes it easy for immigrants, large families, and the working class to provide cheaply bought memories for their children. The downside of the dollar menu is the lack of nutrition. The dollar menu provides a quick solution to a hungry belly, but has little positive long term effects for anyone.

On one hand the economy does kind of force families to value low prices over nutrition but on the other hand it would probally be healthier and cheaper to have home made meal at home.
