The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn 23-27
In chapters 23-27 of "The adventure of Huckleberry Finn", Huck takes a large step regarding his maturity and morality. Up until now, Huck has not challenged the Duke and the Dauphin on any of their wily plots. Although their schemes are unfair, cruel, and sometimes ridiculous, Huck has decided to remain silent, but when the Duke and the Dauphin's plans become more devious, Huck decides to act. When he foils their plan to steal the money from the Wilkses, he shows his growing morality and maturity, but also endangers he and Jim as he has opened the door to revenge.
