Fast Food Nation:Chapter One
I don't think the establishers of the fast food industry started out solely for the purpose of gaining profit. Sure, that could be seen as one of the positives of the ideas, but I believe the founders started the fast food industry to meet the level of progress the society had gotten to. With more roads and a sense of more freedom there also needed to be some sort of change I the food industry; these establishers were trying to find a way to provide for themselves and their families and had the ideas to improve this industry.

Starting these fast food resteraunts was a risky business because it was so new. While some had good ideas and became successful, many more failed. The only reason I see for so many to try is because some had gotten rich and they wanted the same. However I do agree with the idea that they were trying to make their resteraunts meet the level of society.
