Fast food nation- ch. 3

I think that rules should be established according to the restaurant and as long as the person meets those requirements, any person of any age, sex, gender, etc should have the opportunity to fill the position. I do feel that no matter who is put behind the counter though, there will more than likely be people who complain or have a problem with that person because of how diverse society is today, it is simply impossible to fill the needs and preferences of everyone; all the owners and managers can do is try. People will always find flaws in whoever is working and think that if it were them, they would do a way better job. But i think that as long as the person is continuing to do their job properly and meets the needs and expectations that satisfy the owner, anyone should be able to hold the position.

  1. I do think that you’re right in saying America has become so multicultural, someone is always going to have a problem with any decision that is made. I do believe in equal employment opportunities, while keeping in mind that the English language should be spoken and the job done properly.
