Mr. McCarthy, this is the comment to Lauren's post, because my computer refuses to let me actually comment:
You brought up some very valid points. I like that you ended in a question, leaving the reader thinking. I agree with the statement that school systems are doing a good job at keeping prejudice against African Americans to a minimum. I would include his tone in this writing and his use of his real life experiences, as well as historical events to make the reader really believe his points and to make his opinions stronger.
